![]() ![]() These codes were refined and added to as interviews were revisited over time. Transcripts were read line-by-line and initial codes were written in a column alongside the transcripts. As data collection took place over a protracted period of time, coding of transcribed interviews began before the full dataset was available. I familiarised myself with the data by reading the transcripts several times while making rough notes. This helped to ensure research rigour and means that process and dependability may be demonstrable. Each stage of the coding and theme development process described below was clearly documented ensuring that the evolution of themes was clear and traceable.
